Reading Restless Pilgrim just got easier…
I post on this blog every day, but not every post is especially substantial.
On Mondays I post a video of Christian music.
On Wednesdays I share a quotation which I feel teaches some truth and is marked by wisdom.
On Fridays I post something light-hearted on the last day of the workweek to sustain good cheer and to usher in the weekend.
On the remaining days, I write some short posts, but I typically aim to write at least one substantial article each week, tagging it with the featured tag.
I was recently chatting with friends and a couple of them said that they come to my blog specifically for the more substantial articles and only visit the site periodically. In light of this, I wanted to explain to all readers how to best consume these articles if this is what you prefer.

Featured Menu
Another way to consume the more substantial articles is to use the menu system at the top of the page. I’ve recently made a couple of changes to menu layout to make this easier:
The “Featured Articles” menu contains two entries, which allows readers to only view the more substantial articles I’ve written. All other posts, such as the music and quotations, will be filtered out.

Restless Pilgrim Tour 2017
Now that I’ve finished the Camino, the most common question I hear is: what are you going to do now?
I still have a couple more weeks in England, but after that I will be flying back to the United States in time for Thanksgiving. I’m going to be based in San Diego but I’m planning to do a little more travelling. I don’t have the moniker of “Restless Pilgrim” for nothing…
I’m intending to travel around the States, seeing friends and revisiting some of my favourite cities, as well as exploring some of the places which have remained too long on my “To Do” list…
The goal of these trips isn’t simply to be a tourist. I will have to get a job again at some point, so I will be talking the opportunity to meet with local companies and possibly do some job interviews. However, the thing I’m really looking forward to is serving at local churches along the way.
In the past I’ve spoken at “Theology On Tap” (Example #1 | Example #2), led Bible studies and organized swing and salsa evenings. I’d love to make myself useful and offer my services in these areas, free-of-change, as I travel around the States. I don’t need a stipend or travel expenses.

Returning from the ends of the earth…
Hey everyone! This is just a quick note to say that I’m safely back from pilgrimage to the Camino De Santiago in Spain. Over the last month, I walked over the Pyranees from France, all the way on foot to the Cathedral of St. James. For good measure I then walked the final three days to Finisterra and the Atlantic Ocean!
Please expect to see regular activity on this blog resume in the coming days, including a more detailed reflection of my time away on pilgrimage. Buen Camino!
A little update from me…
So, as you may have noticed, posts have once again started to appear here at Restless Pilgrim. After several grueling months, my project at work is now basically done.
I was meant to be on vacation this week, but I’ve been dragged back to my project, albeit half-time. As a result, the posts here thus far have been of the simple, short variety.
However, the good news is that I’m slowly chipping away at some longer, more substantial posts (to be tagged as featured). I’m hoping that some of these articles will be ready to post sometime next week.
There’s a lot of changes coming, both in my “real” life and also here on this blog. I’m really looking forward to sharing with you what’s there on the horizon…
Well…that was May
I had hoped to be back regularly blogging again sometime in May, but that clearly hasn’t happened. Thankfully though, the pressure is finally starting to ease at work. I should be back to my regularly-scheduled blogging once more at the start of June.
