Hey everybody!

Hi guys,

I hope you all enjoyed the quotations from the Desert Fathers over the course of last month. Since we’re now in October, I’m going to resume regular blogging.

My time away was much needed as life got extremely busy in September. In fact, this month is also going to be packed, with trips to Seattle and San Francisco planned, as well a Theology On Tap talk and the wedding of a friend of mine. Prayer would be much appreciated!

God bless,

David.

Come hear me talk!

If you are a young adult in San Diego, want to know more about the Bible and love hearing the sound of an English accent, well, you’re in luck!

On 8th October I’m going to be giving the talk at Theology On Tap entitled “Reading the Bible for all its worth”. Click on the image below to download the flyer.

TOT

The talk is going to be at the Searsucker Restaurant in Del Mar (directions). We’ll have dinner 6:30pm-7:30pm. I’ll then give a 45 minute talk, there will be some Q&A and group discussion. We’ll have everything wrapped up by 9pm.

Will you come if I promise to talk about dating? 😉

Heading out into the desert…

Walkabout

Hey everyone,

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the recent posts here at Restless Pilgrim. I wanted to thank those of you who gave me feedback and continued the discussion in the Comment Boxes – you bring so much to the conversation, thanks 🙂

I’ve decided to take a one-month hiatus from blogging here. I feel like I need a bit of a break, plus I have a few exciting projects which need my attention…

In the meantime, I’ve setup the blog to post a quotation from the Desert Fathers each day so you won’t get bored or get out of the habit of stopping by here to say “Hello” 🙂

See you in October!

David.

Buy some stuff and make a nun!

A little while ago I advertised that my friend Jenna has been accepted into a religious order that cares for terminal cancer patients who cannot afford care. The only thing stopping her entering is her student debt. She’s got 46 days left to raise the rest of the money.

If you’d like to help turn Jenna into a nun, and would like to do some shopping at the same time, please click on the link below buy some stuff! Remember, Christmas is only five months away…
