This was a song I immediately fell in love with…but it was at a time when I was becoming increasingly anti-Catholic in my beliefs, so I responded with horror when I realized what the lyrics meant when translated from Latin. The Catholic Faith has always sought to express itself through art and music to communicate its beauty. Even at times when my theology wasn’t exactly Catholic, I remember being drawn to certain pieces of Catholic music such as
