Wise Words On Wednesday: Speaking of mothers…
“He cannot have God for his Father who will not have the Church for his mother.” – St. Augustine
"We are travellers…not yet in our native land" – St. Augustine

Since Pentecost is not far away, I thought I’d start posting some of my favourite prayers to the Holy Spirit:
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
Amen.
This prayer comes from St. Augustine of Hippo, from whom we’ll be hearing again tomorrow for our Wise Words on Wednesday…
In honour of a few recent nights of poor sleep…
Joe posted this in the comments section before, but just in case you didn’t see it…
San Diego people! I need some help! I’ve got a few people lined up to come see me in San Diego and I’m trying to plan their visits. What would you suggest? What’s on your San Diego “Must See”/”Must Do” list?
Please leave your answers in the Comments section below. I’ll collate all the answers and do a follow-up post in a week or two…
Thanks!
