For today’s Music Monday, we have something a little different from usual. The song below is “Fire of Your Spirit”, sung in Hebrew and performed by Sarah Liberman. I love the mix of Contemporary Christian Music with the Tabernacle setting from the time of Moses:

Music Monday: The Lion and the Lamb

We’re kicking off the year with one of my favourite bands and one who has a fantastic name, “Big Daddy Weave”. This is “The Lion and the Lamb”:

Music Monday: I heard the Bells on Christmas Day

Since yesterday Christmas began, it’s time to crack open the Christmas Music! Today is one of my favourites, “I heard the Bells on Christmas Day”, by Casting Crowns:

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet their songs repeat

Returning once again to classical music, today’s selection is one of the most stirring renditions I’ve heard of Edward Elgar’s “Lux Aeterna”, performed by the VOCES8:
