Today’s episode will be a little different from usual. This week, I tell Matt about my trip to The Kilns, the home of C.S. Lewis in Oxford. Afterwards, we finish up the episode by responding to some listener questions about God and gender.

The audio quality varies over the course of the episode. We actually recorded this a little while ago and thankfully have improved our recording process quite a bit since then.

I haven’t heard any music from John Waller in quite some time, but just now I did some googling and came across this rather sweet song, a duit with Josee Waller. It’s called “The Marriage Prayer”:

Prince Caspian Theatre Production

Next week our C.S. Lewis bookclub will be going to see a one man theatre show, retelling the life of C.S. Lewis.

As I was browsing the Internet, I came across a theatre recommendation from C.S. Lewis’ stepson, Douglas Gresham:

The Logos Theatre had put on a production of Prince Caspian earlier this year.

While that play has now ended, I checked their website and saw that they have another play about Lewis and Bonhoeffer running this week and there’ll be a production of The House and His Boy next year. So, if you’re in the South Carolina area, you might want to check it out!

Word of Life Conference in San Diego

If you’re in the San Diego area in November, you should come out to my parish, Holy Angels Byzantine Catholic Church in San Diego, as we will be hosting “The Word of Life” Biblical conference. 

Our speaker will be Fr. Deacon Daniel Dozier. I’ve heard him speak at a previous event in Phoenix, Arizona and I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. 

The conference will run from 10:30am – 4:30pm. Registration is by donation, with a suggested donation of $25. You can register here.
