  • Countdown to extinction

He infers that Jesus is a mythology, right at the start. Genius.

He doesn’t refute the point that the whole show could be a re-hash. He just highlights differences.

The A-team remake had similar, but not identical cast. The van had a small role. The colour of it’s upholstery was different. The baddies had different names. It was still a rehash of the old content.

“Infers”? Do you mean “imply”? I’m also not sure what you’re referring to here. Maybe the section Similarity Does Not Imply Dependence? Do you agree similarity doesn’t necessarily imply dependence?

Well that’s the point isn’t it? The basis of the various mythist theories is “Look! Look! Here are parallels between Christianity and other religions. Therefore Jesus was just made up.”. If you can discredit the parallels the mythist’s case falls apart.

Ironically, what was the complaint of fans? That it departed too far from the original material.

If you’re embracing this logic then I’d invite you to read a blog entry written by my friend Joe in which he “proves” that Gandhi is a myth.
