I wish I could get into St. Thomas’ work. I probably just need to work harder at it; I’ve tried reading the Summa twice and have failed miserably both times.
I suppose I should qualify my previous statement. 🙂 It was “A Shorter Summa” with the introduction by Peter Kreeft that I’ve tried to tackle twice…and then gotten completely bogged down in somewhere in the first couple of champers. I actually found Kreeft’s introduction the most readable part of the whole thing.
Ooo, lectures!! Yes, I’m (nerdy enough to be) excited about listening to them. 🙂
And actually, I think either Kim or Marlana had mentioned the Institute of Catholic Culture to me before about the presentations they offer. I’ll have to see what other links they have posted.
I can understand that…at least I think I can. Most of mine comes from reading. Aside from TOT when I can get away from work and get to it, there isn’t really very much here in terms of continuing faith education/formation, unless it’s for the retirees and at times I can’t attend.
But I try not to whine about that any more. It’s an old song and no longer worth singing. 🙂
woop!
You’re easy to please – anything with Dominicans… 😉
Listen, I can’t help it that I have such good taste in religious orders that I love the one that St. Thomas was part of.
🙂

I’ve never even tried 🙂

Thank you (again).
They’re really good – they’re my main form of personal Catechesis these days
