I’ve had quite a few conversations about “equality” recently on Facebook. Here’s Jordan Peterson summing up everything I tried to point out:
The word equality is as misunderstood and misused as the word love is nowadays. We are created equal in that we are equally created in the image and likeness of God. But that’s the only thing we are equal in.
If one’s goal is equality of outcome, freedom of choice is the last thing that’ll achieve that end. Different choices have different outcomes. That’s common sense. And it is much more difficult to manipulate common sense than it is to manipulate data.
While men and women may be alike in more things than we are different, the differences are profound.
