I haven’t shared a Hillsong video in a while. This is “Gracious Tempest”…
Your love towers over me
Gracious tempest in the sea
Your love is like a storm
Let this tide of mercy rain
Let it flood my heart again
Surround me like an ocean
Your love is crashing over me
Surging like a raging sea
Immerse me in the wonder of Your love
A downpour of unending grace
Consuming all my reckless ways
My sins submerged
Your love has saved my soul
Your love is like a storm
A downpour of unending grace
Consuming all my reckless ways
My sins submerged
Your love has saved my soul
Your love is like a storm x4

A couple of days ago, I posted a video of Jordan Peterson being interviewed on Channel 4 by Cathy Newman. It’s a bit of silliness which collates all of Newman’s “So you’re saying is…”. Made me chuckle.

Last week I watched Jordan Peterson being interviewed on Channel 4 by Cathy Newman. I say “interview”, but “debate” was closer to the fact:
Peterson chose his words carefully and responded to his interviewer’s questions. Newman, on the other hand, repeatedly twisted his words and ignored the thrust of his arguments. This video is well worth a watch in its entirety, just to see how arguments should be constructed.
I’ve started listening to his podcast and it’s a really interesting listen. Check it out 🙂
On the 1st February, a new Theology On Tap series was kicked off at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Paradise Hills. Sister Peter Marie and Sister Elizabeth Marie from the Nashville Dominicans gave a talk on “Joyful Discernment”. They were accompanied by some of their Dominican brothers, Fr. Stephen Maria Lopez and Fr. James Moore, who joined them for the Q&A session.
If you would like to hear audio from other San Diego “Theology On Tap” sessions, you can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes, Google Play or manually via the RSS feed.

“Q&A” (Download)
Questions asked during the Q&A were:
• How long have you been a teacher? What has been your favourite subject to teach?
• What is “sanctifying grace”?
• I felt called to a ministry and that’s now complete. I’m not currently feeling called to anything in particular. Should I wait or should I actively be looking?
• Have you ever experienced synchronicities in your life which you felt were of God?
• Is it selfish to ask God for clarity in your vocation?
• Is it free will if God already knows what I’m going to choose?
