The Creed is pretty much the only thing still throwing me off and sending me reaching for the pew card these days.
On Ash Wednesday, though, it was pretty obvious there were a number of people who hadn’t been to Mass in awhile, b/c they were still doing the “And also with you,” or combining them for “And also with your spirit.” 🙂
I’m almost there with “Born of the Father before all ages” and “Was incarnate of the Virgin Mary”… not “Was born incarnate of the Virgin Mary.”… I’ll get that one soon.
Whatever, “with your spirit” is the easy part… “it is right and just” is the one that always messes me up.
“It is truly right and just…”
I like to think of this immediate follow-up as a “gotcha!”
Right??? haha it’s like a reminder just a SECOND too late!

Surprisingly, I get through “Consubstantial with the Father” with no problem, but then it’s all downhill from there….
