This flowchart commits several logical fallacies…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. False Dilemma<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It presents only two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. You follow the Bible, therefore you can\u2019t criticize Muhammad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You don\u2019t follow the Bible, therefore you\u2019re not a Christian.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Those are not the only possibilities. A Christian can follow the Bible and not reach your conclusion, particularly if they don’t hold to Sola Scriptura<\/em>. For example, they can include natural moral reasoning and historical evidence to evaluate any historical figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Non Sequitur<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Even if the Bible never explicitly states an \u201cage of consent,\u201d it does not follow that every marriage at every age is therefore morally acceptable. That\u2019s like saying: \u201cThe Bible never gives a speed limit, therefore reckless driving cannot be immoral.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Argument from Silence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The argument assumes: \u201cBecause Scripture doesn\u2019t explicitly prohibit X, Scripture approves X.\u201d<\/em> but silence is not approval The Bible never mentions heroin, identity theft, or child labor either, yet Christians can still conclude these are wrong by applying biblical principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Category Error<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Bible is not primarily writing a modern civil law code with every possible regulation. Christian morality applies Christian principles to situations the Bible never explicitly names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. False Equivalence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The comparison ignores a major theological difference – Christians do not believe every action recorded in Scripture is morally exemplary. The Bible records David\u2019s adultery, Solomon\u2019s polygamy, Jephthah\u2019s vow, and many other sinful actions without approving them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    By contrast, many Muslims regard Muhammad as the perfect moral example for all generations (Qur\u2019an 33:21<\/a>). Therefore, questions about Muhammad\u2019s actions carry a different theological significance than merely asking whether something appears in biblical history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. The Historical Question Isn\u2019t Addressed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
