Today is another reproduction from our bulletin on the subject of Oral Tradition:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>&#8220;For wherever both the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">true Christian rule and faith<\/span> shall be shown to be, there will be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">the true Scriptures<\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">the true expositions<\/span>, of all the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">true Christian traditions<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n&#8211; Tertullian, The Prescription of Heretics, 19 (AD 200)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;Of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">beliefs and practices<\/span> whether <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">generally accepted<\/span> or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">publicly enjoined<\/span> which are preserved in the Church <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">some we possess derived from written teaching<\/span>; others we have received delivered to us &#8216;in mystery&#8217; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">by the tradition of the Apostles<\/span>; and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">both<\/span> of these in relation to true religion have the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">same force<\/span>. And these <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">no one will contradict<\/span>; no one, at all events, who is even moderately versed in the institutions of the Church.
