I don&#8217;t know about you, but I can tell you that <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stephen_Colbert\" target=\"_blank\">Stephen Colbert<\/a>\u00a0is <em>extremely<\/em> excited about this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oASYa-Wkroc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I began this blog about four years ago, on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/2010\/06\/11\/hello\/\" target=\"_blank\">11th June 2010<\/a>\u00a0to be exact. At that time in my life, a few things converged\u00a0and I decided that I&#8217;d have a go at running a blog. I began\u00a0with a <a href=\"http:\/\/thisrestlesspilgrim.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">free blog<\/a>\u00a0at WordPress.com and, after completing a hundred posts, I decided to buy my own domain name and do things &#8220;properly&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>Since 1,500 posts is quite a milestone, I&#8217;ve put in a little bit of thought into what I could do to mark this anniversary and help take this blog to &#8220;the next level&#8221;, whatever that is! So, with that, I have a couple of announcements&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Announcement #1: Fan Page<\/h2>\n<p>Over the years, quite a few\u00a0people have asked me if there was a Facebook &#8220;Fan Page&#8221; for my\u00a0blog. A\u00a0few days ago I finally capitulated and set one up:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RestlessPilgrimDotNet\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30033 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Fan.png\" alt=\"Fan\" width=\"600\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Fan.png 600w, https:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Fan-300x215.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clicking\u00a0on the above image and choosing to &#8220;Like&#8221; the page will have two consequences. It will not only boost my ego, but it will also mean that future articles which I post will appear in your Facebook news stream.<\/p>\n<h2>Announcement #2: Sidebar Redesign<\/h2>\n<p>As well as setting up the Fan page, I&#8217;ve redesigned\u00a0the sidebar on the righthand side of the blog. I did this by spending the last few weeks going through all my posts (yes, all 1,500 of them) and putting links to the particularly important ones in the sidebar:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30034\" src=\"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/sidebar.png\" alt=\"sidebar\" width=\"150\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/sidebar.png 300w, https:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/sidebar-100x300.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve done this to make it simpler to find the articles which I often reference, as well as to point newcomers towards some of my more important posts.<\/p>\n<h2>Announcement #3: You guys<\/h2>\n<p>Over the last four years it&#8217;s been great to share some of my journey with you and to air out some of the random thoughts which kick around\u00a0my noggin. I&#8217;ve had some lovely comments and messages from people across the world whom I&#8217;ve never met. It has even resulted in some rather wonderful friendships.<\/p>\n<p>So, today I&#8217;d like to take this moment to thank everyone who has read, shared and commented upon my posts.
