However, we also should not condemn or speak evil. Instead we should, paraphrasing Ephesians 4:15, seek to <span style=\"color: #993300\"><em>&#8220;speak truth in love&#8221;<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0One of my favourite bands, Casting Crowns, recently released a new album that contains a song which encapsulates this sentiment perfectly,\u00a0<em>&#8220;Love you with the truth&#8221;<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"860\" height=\"484\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cwMFX7hUefc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">For the longest time, I believed the lie<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">That I&#8217;m not a strong enough believer<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">To be the friend that can take your hand<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">And lead you straight to Jesus<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">I&#8217;m waiting on the preachers, singers, and the teachers<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">To string the perfect words together<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">But every single time I have to say goodbye<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">I wonder will this be the last time<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">I can&#8217;t call myself your friend and walk away<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">When we love, we earn the right to speak the truth<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">When we speak truth, we show the world we truly love<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">I&#8217;m not pointing my finger, I&#8217;m holding out my hand<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">I lay it all on the line now to see God save my friend<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Let my life and my words be the proof<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">I&#8217;m gonna love you with the truth<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Gonna love you with the truth<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Yes, God is love, but God is just<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">And we are separated in our darkness<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">So God let Him who knew no sin<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">To become sin to make us right with Him<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Its not about religion or earning Gods forgiveness<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Or magic prayers or new behavior<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Its all about your heart, Hell meet you where you are<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Turn from your sin and trust in Christ as Lord<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Jesus is the truth, the life, the way<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">How I&#8217;ve prayed for this moment, that you would finally see<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">That God is more than <a title=\"Jesus = Religion\" href=\"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/2012\/01\/13\/religion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">religion<\/a>, a stained-glass fantasy<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">And how Ive prayed for the courage, for my silent faith to speak<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Or that God would just send you a better friend than me<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to the truth, we should not stay silent.
