Lewis<br \/>\n<del><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Desert-Fathers-Sayings-Christian-Classics\/dp\/0140447318\">The Desert Fathers: Sayings of the Early Christian Monks<\/a><\/del>\u00a0&#8211; Penguin Classics<\/p>\n<p>In February and March I complete three more:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Every-Mans-Journey-James-Campbell\/dp\/1937509125\">Every Man&#8217;s Journey<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; James P. Campbell<\/strong><br \/>\nThis was thirty day devotional book following the life of St. Peter which I read at my desk each morning. It was definitely enjoyable, but I wasn&#8217;t really blown away by it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Hold-Me-Tight-Conversations-Lifetime\/dp\/031611300X\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1359476345&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=hold+me+tight\">Hold Me Tight<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Dr. Sue Johnson<\/strong><br \/>\nThis book by psychologist Dr. Johnson examines Attachment Theory, a way of looking at relationships primarily in light of the attachment bond between two people. I found the writing not quite to my style, but the content was superb and I found the book genuinely thought-provoking. I&#8217;m hoping to write a post soon summarizing some of book&#8217;s key points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/After-Jesus-The-Triumph-Christianity\/dp\/B000HMDDXM\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1355783668&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=After+Jesus+triumph+of+christianity\">After Jesus<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Reader&#8217;s\u00a0Digest<\/strong><br \/>\nThis was a light review of the early centuries of Christian history. I found quite a few bits of the historical analysis rather questionable but at least, since it was a Reader&#8217;s Digest book, it had lots of nice glossy pictures\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h2>Work In Progress<\/h2>\n<p>I currently have quite a few books on the go at the moment:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Confessions-Saint-Augustine-Image-Book\/dp\/0385029551\">Confessions<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">\u00a0&#8211; St. Augustine<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;m about half way through now and picking up pace as the narrative picks up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Saint-Francis-Assisi-G-Chesterton\/dp\/1619492695\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1364333675&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=Saint+Francis%2C+by+G+K+Chesterton\">St. Francis of Assisi<\/a> &#8211; G.K. Chesterton<\/strong><br \/>\nA rather appropriate book given the name taken by the new Holy Father! Chesterton&#8217;s writing is as wonderful as always and this book has become my new Holy Hour book.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Introduction-Devout-Life-Francis-Sales\/dp\/0375725628\">Introduction to the Devout Life<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; St. Francis de Sales<\/strong><br \/>\nThis has replaced\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Every-Mans-Journey-James-Campbell\/dp\/1937509125\">Every Man&#8217;s Journey<\/a>\u00a0as my daily reading before work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jesus-Nazareth-Baptism-Jordan-Transfiguration\/dp\/1586171984\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1326829980&amp;sr=1-1\">Jesus of Nazareth<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Pope Benedict XVI<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve stalled on this one &#8211; I&#8217;m still only about a third of the way through.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Weaving-Web-Original-Ultimate-Destiny\/dp\/006251587X\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1364679662&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=tim+berners-lee\" target=\"_blank\">Weaving The Web<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Tim Berners-Lee<\/strong><br \/>\nThe first book this year which wasn&#8217;t on <a title=\"My Reading List for 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/2013\/01\/11\/my-reading-list\/\">The List<\/a>\u00a0because\u00a0I was feeling in the mood for something a little lighter. The book chronicles the rise of the World Wide Web and its invention by Tim Berners-Lee. I&#8217;m sure it would be quite a dull book to many, but since my University (Southampton) is one of the forerunners of hypertext technology I&#8217;m finding it really interesting. After St. Augustine and G.K.
