I hadn&#8217;t realized quite how many non-Catholic concepts had crept into my brain.<\/p>\n<p>During this past Lenten season I sent an email to Nick over at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/catholicnick.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nick&#8217;s Catholic Blog<\/a>.\u00a0Nick writes a lot on the subject of justification so I asked\u00a0him to write a post putting forward the positive case for the Catholic view of salvation.\u00a0The Protestant identity is often a negative one i.e. <span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Not<\/span>\u00a0Catholic&#8221;<\/span> and I didn&#8217;t want to see Catholic soteriology go in the same direction i.e.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\"><i>&#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Not<\/span>\u00a0Sola Fide&#8221;<\/i><\/span>.
