<\/p>\nContinuing from yesterday, what attitudes should we take when enduring times of trial?<\/p>\n

If God seeks our ultimate good, if suffering is redemptive, if it forces us to rely upon Him, if His glory can be revealed through this trial, we should trust that He knows what He is doing…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n And we know that in all things God works for the good<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of those who love him<\/span>, whohave been called\u00a0according to his purpose.<\/em> \u2013 Romans 8:28<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance<\/span>.I\u2026will have sufficient courage\u00a0so that\u2026Christ will be exalted in my body,\u00a0whether by life or by death.\u00a0 For to me, to live is Christ<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and to die is gain<\/span>.<\/em> \u2013 Philippians 1:19-21<\/span><\/p>\n Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed,\u00a0\u201cMy Father, if it is possible, may this cup<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>be taken from me.<\/span> Yet not as I will, but as you will<\/span>.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Matthew 26:39<\/span><\/p>\n I remember my affliction and my wandering<\/span>, the bitterness<\/span>\u00a0and the gall<\/span>. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>within me<\/span>. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope<\/span>: Because of the\u00a0Lord\u2019s great love<\/span>\u00a0we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail<\/span>. They are new every morning;\u00a0great is your faithfulness<\/span>.\u00a0I say to myself, \u201cThe\u00a0Lord\u00a0is my portion<\/span>; therefore I will wait for him<\/span>.\u201d The\u00a0Lord\u00a0is good to those whose hope<\/span> is in him, to the one who seeks him<\/span>; it is good to wait quietly<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for the salvation<\/span> of the\u00a0Lord.<\/em> \u2013 Lamentations\u00a0 3:19-26<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace<\/span>.\u00a0In this world you will have trouble.\u00a0But take heart<\/span>! I have overcome<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the world<\/span>.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 John 16:33<\/span><\/p>\n This world is not all there is.
