<\/p>\nHaving established that suffering is an inevitable part of life and that it can be used both for our transformation and the glory of God, we now consider the attitude we should adopt when going through times of trial and temptation….<\/p>\n

Since trials bring us to holiness and reveal the glory of God, we should approach trials with confidence, trusting in God\u2019s grace.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Surprisingly, Scripture says that we should respond to trials with Joy!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Consider it pure joy<\/span>\u2026whenever you face trials of many kinds<\/em>\u00a0 \u2013 James 1:2<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the stresses and strains we must remain faithful to the Lord’s commandments.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Bless those who persecute you<\/span>;\u00a0bless and do not curse<\/span>.<\/em> \u2013 Romans 12:14<\/span><\/p>\n Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego\u00a0replied to him, \u201c\u2026If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>us from it<\/span>, and he will deliver\u00a0usfrom Your Majesty\u2019s hand.\u00a0But even if he does not<\/span>, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods<\/span> or worship the image of gold you have set up.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Daniel 3:16-18<\/span><\/p>\n Our own strength will quickly become depleted. Instead we should rely upon the Lord.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n I can do all this through him who gives me strength<\/span>.<\/em> \u2013 Philippians 4:13<\/span><\/p>\n Cast all your anxiety on him<\/span>\u00a0because he cares for you.<\/em> \u2013 1 Peter 5:7<\/span><\/p>\n God is our refuge<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and strength<\/span>, an ever-present<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>help<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in trouble<\/span>. Therefore we will not fear<\/span>,\u00a0though the earth give way and the mountains fall\u00a0into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar\u00a0and foam and the mountains quake\u00a0with their surging.<\/em> \u2013 Psalm 46:1-3<\/span><\/p>\n For we do not have a high priest\u00a0who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses<\/span>, but we have one who has been tempted in every way<\/span>, just as we are\u2014yet he did not sin<\/span>. Let us then approach<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>God\u2019s throne of grace<\/span> with confidence,\u00a0so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us<\/span> in our time of need.<\/em> \u2013 Hebrews 4:15<\/span><\/p>\n So do not fear<\/span>,\u00a0for I am with you<\/span>; do not be dismayed<\/span>, for I am your God. I will strengthen\u00a0you and help\u00a0you<\/span>;\u00a0I will uphold you\u00a0with my righteous right hand.<\/em> \u2013 Isaiah 41:10<\/span><\/p>\n No temptation<\/span>\u00a0has overtaken you except what is common to mankind<\/span>. And God is faithful<\/span>;\u00a0he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear<\/span>.\u00a0But when you are tempted,\u00a0he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it<\/span>.<\/em> \u2013 1 Corinthians 10:13<\/span><\/p>\n The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed<\/span>, a stronghold in times of trouble<\/span>. Those who know your name\u00a0trust in you<\/span>, for you,\u00a0Lord, have never forsaken\u00a0those who seek you<\/span><\/em> \u2013 Psalm 9:9-10<\/span><\/p>\n In a desert\u00a0land he found him, in a barren and howling waste.
