{"id":12467,"date":"2012-11-08T07:00:03","date_gmt":"2012-11-08T14:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/?p=12467"},"modified":"2015-03-19T15:59:09","modified_gmt":"2015-03-19T22:59:09","slug":"intercession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/restlesspilgrim.net\/blog\/2012\/11\/08\/intercession\/","title":{"rendered":"Intercession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A while ago in our Young Adult group we were talking about praying before the Eucharist (<span style=\"color: #000000\"><em>&#8220;Adoration&#8221;<\/em><\/span>) and I had asked the question <em><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;What do you actually\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">do<\/span> during Adoration?&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some of the group spoke about reading Scripture.<\/p>\n<p>Others spoke about praying the rosary.<\/p>\n<p>One girl beautifully described it as <em><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;&#8230;just having quality Father\/Daughter time&#8221;<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>One word which was absent from the discussion was <em><span style=\"color: #000000\">&#8220;Intercession&#8221;<\/span><\/em>. It got me to thinking. How often do I regularly pray for those in my life? My family? My friends? My co-workers? What about the employees of the shops where I purchase my morning coffee or lunchtime sandwich? How often do I intercede for these people?
