He is the First and the Last. The Beginning and the End. He is the Keeper of Creation and the Creator of All. He is the Architect of the Universe and the Manager of All Time. He Always Was, He Always Is, and He Always Will Be. Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and Never Undone.

He was bruised and brought healing. He was pierced and eased pain. He was persecuted and brought freedom. He was dead and brought life. He is risen and brings power. He reigns and brings peace.

The world can’t understand Him. The armys can’t defeat Him. Schools can’t explain Him and the leaders can’t ignore Him. Herod couldn’t kill Him. The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him. The people couldn’t hold him. Nero couldn’t crush Him. Hitler couldn’t silence Him. The New Age can’t replace Him. And Oprah can’t explain Him away.

He is Life, Love, Longevity, and Lord.  He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness and God. He is Holy, Righteous, Mighty, Powerful, and Pure.

His Ways are Right, His Words Eternal, His Rules Unchanging, and His Mind is on me.

He is My Redeemer, He is My Savior, He is My God, He is My Priest, He is My Joy, He is My Comfort, He is My Lord, and He rules my life.”

  • that is incredibly cool.

  • I am still in two minds about Eucharistic flash mobs. Do not get me wrong – I am into creative and onnovative ways of reaching people with the Good News. But I am not sure if the Blessed Sacrament should be whipped out like that as a prop in an evangelistic maneuvre. It is God himself, not a prop or tool. I know the friar involved and he is hardcore Catholic, so I am not casting aspersions. But maybe it needs to be thought carefully through.

But I love the Christ in the Bible listing. I suspect it was written by a Protestant given the end with all its “my”s, and its reflection of the whole “Jesus is my personal Saviour” business. He is our Saviour actually – no one owns him, and no one is more special than another.

    OK. I’ll stop preaching now….

    • Needless to say, I meant “innovative”!

    • I take your point and I know some people really don’t like the idea. It’s different, it’s stark and a little shocking, but I think, on balance, I like it.

My suggestion to calm those who dislike Eucharistic flashmobs is simply to have the Friar process from the church to the place of the flashmob. With that change I can’t see how anyone could complain since in all other respects it’d be like the Corpus Christi processions of days past.

    • Oh yes, one last thing…

“Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ – John 20:28

      That’s right.
      I went there.
      Scriptural BODY SLAM!!! 😀

      Sorry, couldn’t help it.
      I do understand your point.
      I’ll go to Confession tomorrow.
